Responsibilities
Safely operate and maneuver a tractor-trailer truck in various road and weather conditions.
Transport goods and materials from warehouses, or manufacturing plants to designated vendors. (Delivery Assitant provided with every route)
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure its safe operation and compliance with company and regulatory standards.
Secure cargo properly to prevent shifting or damage during transit.
Maintain accurate records of vehicle inspections, mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery documentation.
Follow all state and federal regulations governing the transportation of goods, including hours of service regulations.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers, shippers, and receivers to coordinate pickup and delivery schedules.
Adhere to all company policies and procedures regarding safety, compliance, and vehicle maintenance.
Handle any documentation related to the transportation of goods, including bills of lading and delivery receipts.
Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor while representing the company to customers and the public.
The essential functions of this role include:
working in a smoke free environment
wearing steel toe shoes
working in a non-temperature controlled environment
manual lifting up to 100lbs
standing for 8 hours at one time
working up to 10 hrs of overtime per week
