If you enjoy creating, building, using your hands and working with tools, we have a great opportunity for you! Local, and established metal contractor is seeking a Shop Worker to help size and cut matrial for further processing. The ideal candidate must be experienced with cutter machinary, able to read blueprints and take accurate measurements.
salary: $39,520 - $50,000 per year
shift: First
work hours: 6 AM - 4:30 PM
education: High School
Responsibilities
As a Shop Worker, you will be responsible for setting up raw material and operating production machinery in accordance with guidelines. Duties include inspecting parts to specifications and making adjustments Requires bending, lifting, standing, walking.
Must have experience sawing raw materials and use of cutter machines
Must be experience working with aluminum
Able to read blueprints
Must be mechanically inclined with good manual capabilities
Experienced with taking measurements
The essential functions of this role include:
working in a smoke free environment
wearing steel toe shoes
standing for 10 hours at one time
working up to 10 hrs of overtime per week
working weekends
Skills
sawing (2 years of experience is preferred)
able to read blueprints (2 years of experience is required)
metal cutting experience (2 years of experience is required)
hand tools
