job summary:

Our client is a subsidiary of a large publicly traded manufacturing group. They specialize in the production of a variety of products for the medical device, automobile, and aerospace industries!

They are looking for a Controller to provide financial leadership for a $80 million business unit, which is projected to achieve double-digit compound annual growth.

This role is HYBRID/Remote, with 10 days onsite per MONTH expected (first and last week of the month)

responsibilities:

General Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the finance and accounting operations of the West Chester business unit.

  • Collaborate with the General Manager and other department heads to drive strategic and operational planning, including idea generation, proactive financial analysis, special projects, capital investment proposals, and the development of annual budgets.

  • Implement process improvements in areas such as purchasing, inventory control, and the sales cycle/accounts receivable.

  • Ensure all policies, processes, and transactions comply with overall Op Co and Regal Rexnord Corporate Policy, maintaining strong internal controls, and manage internal and statutory audits, as well as SOX compliance procedures, safeguarding all confidential, privileged, and proprietary information.

  • Handle all general ledger tasks, such as entering monthly journal entries, executing monthly closing entries, managing month-end general ledger activities, and preparing and reviewing financial statements.

  • Coordinate the completion of balance sheet account analysis.

  • Review cost center and chart of account structures, making recommendations to ensure expenses are allocated to the appropriate areas, assisting in controlling annual expenditures, and streamlining data processing support during month-end for the facility.

qualifications:

Qualifications, Experience and Education:

  • BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.

  • CPA strongly preferred, with strong knowledge and experience in financial reporting under US GAAP requirements.

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience managing direct reports.

  • Accounting experience within the manufacturing space required.
