job summary:

Join our GIS team as a Senior GIS Analyst, collaborating with business users and vendors to implement, enhance, integrate, test, and support GIS solutions within Esri ArcGIS Enterprise and ArcGIS Online environments. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience with the ArcGIS platform and demonstrate proficiency in developing and maintaining geospatial datasets, maps, map layers, apps, and dashboards.

location: Washington, Washington, D.C.

salary: $50 - 55 per hour

work hours: 8am to 4pm

education: Bachelors

responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with business users and vendors to implement and support GIS solutions.

  • Enhance, integrate, and test GIS solutions in Esri ArcGIS Enterprise and ArcGIS Online environments.

  • Develop and maintain geospatial datasets, maps, map layers, apps, and dashboards.

  • Manage ArcGIS Online and/or ArcGIS Enterprise organization users, content, and roles.

  • Create, enhance, and document best practices and workflows for the ArcGIS platform.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify solution and testing requirements.

  • Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts.

  • Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on testability.

  • Work independently and manage multiple projects concurrently.

  • Communicate effectively in written and verbal forms.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or GIS.

  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience.

  • Advanced working knowledge of Esri ArcGIS Enterprise 11.x, ArcGIS Pro 3.x and extensions, ArcGIS Online, GPS technology, ETL tools, model builder, and related geospatial software tools.

  • Experience managing ArcGIS Online and/or ArcGIS Enterprise organization users, content, and roles.

  • Proficiency in creating, enhancing, and documenting ArcGIS platform best practices and workflows.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Experience writing Esri platform integrations using third-party APIs is a plus.

  • Prior railroad experience is a plus.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with third-party API integrations on the Esri platform.

  • Knowledge of GPS technology and ETL tools.

  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects simultaneously.

  • strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Railroad industry experience is advantageous.
