We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our client's team, based in Washington D.C. As a Junior Accountant, you will play a vital role in maintaining accurate financial records, assisting with financial reporting, and supporting various accounting functions. This is an excellent opportunity for an entry-level professional looking to gain valuable experience in the field of accounting. Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or another related field, will be proficient in Microsoft Excel, and will have knowledge of GAAP.

salary: $55,000 - $65,000 per year

shift: First

work hours: 8 AM - 5 PM

education: Bachelors

Responsibilities

• Document financial transactions by entering account information into accounting software

• Ensure that financial records are accurate by reconciling bank statements and other financial documents

• Assist in the preparation of financial statements such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements

• Support the audit process by providing necessary documentation and explanations to auditors

• Process invoices, issue payments, and follow up on overdue accounts

• Keep track of financial records and ensuring they are organized and up-to-date
