The Project Manager is responsible for mapping out the path to successful project delivery, collaborating with customers, consultants, and coworkers to progress along that path.
This involves:
Reading contract documents to understand our scope of work.
Creating, updating, and maintaining project plans and schedules.
Updating and maintaining cost estimates and issue logs.
Conducting project meetings to provide status updates to stakeholders, taking accurate meeting minutes.
Negotiating & preparing change orders.
Procuring equipment, materials & subcontractors.
Position Requirements:
3+ years of hands-on experience managing multiple $2MM+ telecommunications projects concurrently. Digital RF and microwave system deployment experience including site development is preferred.
PMP certification is mandatory.
A bachelor's degree in a business or technical area of knowledge is REQUIRED.
Experience delivering solutions to outside customers is mandatory.
3+ years of hands-on experience managing multiple concurrent $2MM+ telecommunications, data center or network deployment projects for external customers. Digital RF and microwave system deployment experience is preferred.
Site/facility development experience is also valued.
Experience leading in-person presentations to customers & stakeholders.
Proficiency with MS Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams.
10% - 25% travel as needed. PMs usually travel for kickoff meeting, initial site surveys, staging acceptance testing, periodic customer visits and cutover. Usually max of 2 - 3 days for almost any trip.
Must have a valid US Driver's license, must pass a pre-employment drug screen, & background check.
Department Overview: The Projects Team is made up of Project Managers, Implementation Engineers, Field Supervisors & Installers, all working together in a customer satisfaction led culture, often with challenging implementation schedules because we are deploying and upgrading mission-critical communication systems. Together we deliver state-of-the-art P25 and DMR solutions to cities, counties, and businesses throughout the Southeast.
Candidates must have an active PMP certification.
Candidates must have a bachelor's degree.
Our client is looking for people who have experience handling projects that involve Radio Frequency (RF,) microwave systems, LMR, cellular, or data center + networking. Not just construction and NOT just software.
The candidate's experience should be recent, not ten plus years ago.
3+ years of hands-on experience managing multiple concurrent $2MMtelecommunications, data center or network deployment projects for external customers.
Digital RF and microwave system deployment experience is preferred.
Site/facility development experience is also valued.
Must have experience managing the financial side of projects. This would be where the PM must ensure that cost of materials stay within the budget, buying the actual materials for the projects, projecting monthly labor costs, ensuring that work is completed per schedule.
Candidates must have experience of interfacing with customers. PM's will need experience running meetings, taking meeting minutes, making presentations, building rapport with customers, and dealing with their concerns.
Must have experience reading and understanding contracts and the scope of work in the contracts. We have various types and sizes of contracts and projects with different customers.
Candidates must live in Florida in order to be considered for this role.
