AI Engineer needed for a Full Time Remote opportunity with Randstad Digitals client in Southern California
Our client is a well established studio that is working on a highly anticipated new FPS IP. They are looking for a mid-sr level AI Engineer to work with their team on this project and the studios future projects.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
5+ years of experience in AI programming within the game industry.
Mastery of C++ and/or C#.
Extensive experience with game engines like Unreal Engine or Unity.
Deep knowledge of AI techniques including pathfinding, decision trees, state machines, behavior trees, and machine learning.
Proven success in shipping AAA games with sophisticated AI systems.
Exceptional problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
strong communication skills and the ability to thrive in a collaborative environment.
A deep-seated passion for creating immersive gaming experiences.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with AI middleware solutions.
Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Lua.
Knowledge of multi-threaded programming and optimization techniques.

Architect and implement advanced AI systems and behaviors for in-game characters, NPCs, and other game elements.
Collaborate with designers, animators, and other engineers to create seamless and compelling AI interactions.
Develop and enhance AI tools and pipelines for efficient content creation.
Debug and optimize AI systems to ensure high performance and player satisfaction.
Stay abreast of the latest AI advancements and integrate them into our projects.
Mentor and guide junior AI engineers, fostering a culture of excellence.
Participate in code reviews and contribute to a high standard of code quality.
