The Forklift Operator is responsible for safely operating a forklift to move, load, and unload materials within a warehouse, storage yard, or construction site. The role requires adherence to safety protocols, efficient material handling, and basic maintenance of the forklift equipment. We are looking for someone with the ability to operate a forklift safely and efficiently. Basic mechanical knowledge for routine maintenance. Attention to detail and organizational skills.Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
salary: $16 - $18 per hour
shift: First
work hours: 8 AM - 4 PM
education: High School
Responsibilities
Safe Operation: Maneuver the forklift to lift, move, and place materials with precision.
Load Handling: Safely handle different types of loads, ensuring they are secure and balanced.
Routine Checks: Perform pre-shift and post-shift inspections to ensure the forklift is in good working condition.
Loading and Unloading: Efficiently load and unload goods from trucks, pallets, and storage areas.
Inventory Management: Transport materials to and from storage areas, and assist with inventory counts if needed.
Organization: Ensure materials are stored in the correct locations and organized properly.
The essential functions of this role include:
wearing steel toe shoes
manual lifting up to 50lbs
