A leading Manufaturing company in Torrance, CA is currently seeking a meticulous and organized Shipping Clerk to join their dynamic team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to play a crucial role in our operations, ensuring the smooth handling and control of incoming materials and supplies. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. salary: $19 - $21 per hour

shift: First

work hours: 7 AM - 3:30 PM

education: High School

Responsibilities

Processing Logistics…for sales order, work sheet, traveler, customer PO. Review

for complete / correctness. Follow up with appropriate members on any

discrepancies found.

 Certs…verify certs meet the customer requirements. Follow up with Packer /

Shipper for any corrections.

 Final Inspection…complete inspection based on QCP-1010.

 Work sheet…communicate required changes to estimator, customer service /

production manager. Make necessary changes to document(s)

 BOM…communicate necessary changes to Estimator, and other appropriate

members to preform updates.

 Inventory…verify actual materials used on traveler vs BOM. Update system

accordingly to reflect changes. Report errors to Production Manager and

Estimator as necessary

 Work orders…close work orders in PRO once system is updated.

 Packing slip…create document, make edits as necessary and print.

 Shipping carrier…set up order pick up based on customer requirements (shipping

method, collect / prepaid, etc.).

 Logistics…Instruct Packer/Shipper on proper packaging for logistics (i.e., UPS,

FedEx, pallet LTLs etc.) along with any special instructions.

 Upload logistic documents to customer portals when required.

The essential functions of this role include:

• working in a smoke free environment

• wearing steel toe shoes

• working in a non-temperature controlled environment

• manual lifting up to 50lbs

• standing for 8 hours at one time
