Randstad has immediate positions for Lab Technician to support high throughput Seed Quality Testing. In this position, you will perform laboratory tasks such as dropping, crushing, planting, harvesting, counting, grinding, reagent preparation, and other routine laboratory tasks. The position requires the selected candidate to work on-site. Relocation cost reimbursement is not available for this position, local candidates are preferred.
salary: $20 - $22 per hour
shift: First
work hours: 6:30 AM - 3 PM
education: Bachelors
Responsibilities
Assist in operating equipment for data generation.
Assists with receipt and inspection of raw materials, ordering and stocking.
Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform tasks within the laboratory.
Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
Under the guidance of a FTE, conduct routine and preventative maintenance of laboratory equipment.
REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum of an associate degree in a scientific field
The ability to lift 40-50 lbs.
The ability to stand while working for prolonged periods of time (4-6 hours)
The ability to conduct repetitive tasks with hands, wrists, and arms
The essential functions of this role include:
- working in a smoke free environment
Skills
Laboratory/Sciences (1 year of experience is required)
Lab Sample Preparation (1 year of experience is required)
Lab Sample Testing (1 year of experience is required)
Reagent Preparation (1 year of experience is required)
Microsoft Office (5 years of experience is required)
