A Gas and Construction Inspector is needed for a leader in the world of Technical Services and Engineering in the Spring Valley, NY area. This role involves overseeing gas construction projects, ensuring compliance with specifications, safety, and OSHA regulations, while possessing managerial skills and technical expertise.

responsibilities:
Experience and training in excavation, road, or utility construction, emphasizing gas installations, plastic pipe installation, welding, and steel pipefitting.
Oversight of construction projects on Gas Transmission and/or Distribution pipelines, gate stations, district regulator stations, and downgrades.
Management of multiple construction projects simultaneously, from design to completed final folder closeout.
Possession of managerial skills, computer literacy, and a working knowledge of the utility industry.
Inspection of work performed by construction contractors to ensure adherence to company specifications, proper work methods, and equipment usage.
Ability to read and interpret drawings, maps, plans, specifications, and procedures accurately.
Maintenance of accurate and detailed field records, including daily job reports, material usage and locations, and field test records.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma and work experience.
Minimum of three (3) years prior experience and training in excavation, road, or utility construction, with emphasis on electric installations, plastic pipe installation, welding, and steel pipefitting.
