responsibilities:

  • Is a trusted advisor to the Medical Affairs organization on data management strategy and execution, overseeing the translation of data into meaningful opportunities.

  • Demonstrates excellence in strategic & technical analysis, and proactive planning

  • Has the ability to recognize and interpret business issues/opportunities and recommend solutions through analysis

  • Works closely with other members of the digital strategy team to lead and maintain data catalog along with business rules repository for company data assets

  • Has communication and influencing skills with demonstrated ability to succinctly and effectively present compelling reviews of analyses that integrate insights and business implications/actions to be considered.

  • Explores new technologies to innovate and help other team members in areas of data investigations, data conflicts, manual data steward queue etc

  • Partners with IT and Commercial Operations stakeholders on building/enabling key Med Affairs systems

  • End-to-end advanced analytics capabilities to drive strategic choices, tactical execution and Medical Affairs excellence

  • In addition to strong analytics skills, the role should have excellent communication skills, a demonstrated track record of effective business partnership, business impact and influence

  • This role does not have any direct reports, but will partner effectively with internal teams, IT, and/or outside vendors to complete projects

  • Develop and present analytical project ideas, conduct and progress initiatives, and report results and business implications to internal business partners

  • Develop a clearly articulated digital and analytics strategy road map that includes critical use cases and required resources

  • Oversee and manage performance reporting based on key strategic imperatives

  • Enable data-based decision-making

  • Oversee the build-out of comprehensive analytics/insights for rare disease therapeutic areas and creation of reports/presentations that clearly identify and simplify the actionable insights and the relevant business implications, strategic and tactical options

  • Comply with regulatory, security, and privacy requirements as it relates to data assets

qualifications:

  • BA/BS required with a minimum of 5 years' progressive, related industry experience in pharmaceutical or biotechnology industries and/or relevant experience from another field

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Self-starting, with excellent organization and prioritization

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams

  • Proven experience with providing sophisticated data insights

  • Experience with large datasets, understanding of data analysis workflows

  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite including Power Platform and other common analytic tools

  • SalesForce experience required
