The Stock Room/Shipping Lead will oversee and coordinate the daily operations of the stockroom and shipping areas. This role is responsible for ensuring the efficient management of inventory, the accuracy of order fulfillment, and the timely dispatch of shipments. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and productivity. Responsibilities
Lead and supervise stockroom and shipping staff. Provide training, guidance, and support to ensure team effectiveness.
Oversee the receipt, storage, and distribution of products. Conduct regular inventory audits and resolve discrepancies.
Ensure accurate picking, packing, and shipping of orders. Monitor order status and address any issues promptly.
Manage the scheduling and coordination of shipments with carriers. Ensure compliance with shipping regulations and company policies.
Maintain an organized stockroom with efficient storage solutions. Implement best practices for inventory control.
Conduct quality checks on incoming and outgoing shipments. Address any defects or issues with products or packaging.
Maintain accurate records of stock levels, shipments, and inventory movements. Generate reports as required.
Enforce safety procedures and guidelines in the stockroom and shipping areas. Conduct regular safety audits and training.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service levels.
Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and resolve any interdepartmental issues.
