If so, we have the perfect position for you! We are currently hiring a forklift operator for a fast-paced local distribution facility in Rocky Mount, NC. Requirements:
Reliable and OWN transportation
Clean background
Forklift experience within the last year
Longevity in past roles (You will not be called if you have not held a position for at least 1 year)
salary: $14 - $14.5 per hour
shift: First
work hours: 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM
education: High School
Responsibilities
The Forklift Operator is responsible for operating a forklift vehicle for the purpose of moving, stacking, replenishment, staging, and loading and unloading material for shipment. The operator is accountable for the safe and efficient operation of the vehicle and will also be required to perform order pulling duties as needed.
Sit down forklift experience required
Basic computer skills required
Marks materials with identifying information
Records amounts of materials or items received or distributed and maintains inventory records
Counts items for distribution within plant to ensure conformance to company standards
Uses computer to enter records and compiles worksheets or tickets from customer specifications
Performs daily cycle counts, locates and identifies inventory adjustments and errors.
High School diploma or GED required
Previous warehouse experience required
The essential functions of this role include:
wearing steel toe shoes
working in a non-temperature controlled environment
manual lifting up to 40lbs
Skills
Sit Down Forklifts (1 year of experience is required)
Order Pulling
Basic Computer Skills (1 year of experience is required)
Cycle Counting
Qualifications
