Responsibilities
The CNC Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining CNC machinery to produce precision components and products. This role involves reading technical drawings and blueprints, programming machines, setting up tools, monitoring the production process, and ensuring the quality of the finished products. The CNC Operator will work in a warehouse environment, collaborating with other team members to meet production goals and maintain a safe working environment.
Responsibilities:
Set up and operate CNC machines (e.g., lathes, mills, routers) according to job specifications.
Load raw materials into the machine and ensure proper alignment.
Monitor machine operations to detect malfunctions or issues and make adjustments as necessary.
Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD models to program CNC machines.
Input and edit machine control data using CNC programming software.
Optimize machine settings for efficiency and quality.
Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
Use precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers) to verify dimensions.
Document inspection results and report any defects or inconsistencies.
Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines and related equipment.
Troubleshoot and resolve minor mechanical or programming issues.
Coordinate with maintenance personnel for major repairs or upgrades.
Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
The essential functions of this role include:
working in a smoke free environment
wearing steel toe shoes
manual lifting up to 50lbs
Skills
CNC (2 years of experience is preferred)
Programming (2 years of experience is preferred)
Quality Control (2 years of experience is preferred)
Blueprints (2 years of experience is preferred)
Maintenance (2 years of experience is preferred)
Computer Skills (2 years of experience is preferred)
