We are currently seeking an experienced Forklift Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have prior experience operating a variety of forklifts, including the doc stocker, reach, cherry picker, and walkie machines. The Forklift Operator will be responsible for safely and efficiently moving materials and products within our client's facility. High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid forklift certification current or expired
Minimum of 2 years of experience operating a variety of forklifts, including the doc stocker, reach, cherry picker, and walkie machines.
strong understanding of forklift safety practices and procedures.
Ability to lift and move heavy objects and materials.
Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
salary: $18 - $20 per hour
shift: First
work hours: 10 AM - 6:30 PM
education: High School
Responsibilities
Operate a range of forklifts, including the doc stocker, reach, cherry picker, and walkie machines, in a safe and efficient manner.
Load and unload materials and products from trucks, trailers, and storage areas using forklifts.
Transport materials and products to designated storage areas or production lines as required.
Ensure accurate and timely completion of all material handling tasks according to work orders and instructions.
Inspect forklifts before each use to ensure proper functioning and report any mechanical issues or safety concerns to the supervisor.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, including storage areas and forklift equipment.
Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries in the workplace.
Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts as needed.
Collaborate with other team members and departments to ensure efficient operations and timely completion of tasks.
The essential functions of this role include:
working in a smoke free environment
wearing steel toe shoes
working in a non-temperature controlled environment
manual lifting up to 49lbs
standing for 8 hours at one time
