Responsibilities
Diagnose mechanical issues using diagnostic tools and techniques
Repair or replace faulty parts and components, including brakes, engines, transmissions, and electrical systems
Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid checks
Conduct thorough vehicle inspections to ensure safety and proper functionality
Test drive vehicles to verify successful completion of repairs
Maintain detailed records of work performed, parts used, and services provided
Identify and order necessary parts and materials for repairs and maintenance
Prepare cost estimates for repairs and maintenance services
Communicate vehicle issues and repair options clearly to customers
Follow safety guidelines and procedures to ensure a safe working environment
Continuously update knowledge and skills to keep up with advances in automotive technology
Ensure tools and equipment are in good working condition and properly maintained
Provide recommendations for preventative maintenance and potential future repairs
Work with other mechanics and service staff to ensure efficient service delivery
