job summary:

A Senior Instrumentation & Controls Engineer is needed for a leading global engineering, consulting and construction company in the Overland Park, KS area. The Senior Instrumentation & Controls Engineer will lead and support complex engineering projects in the Gas, Fuels & Chemicals sector, overseeing the development of I&C engineering deliverables.

salary: $60.84 - 87.41 per hour

work hours: 8am to 4pm

responsibilities:

  • Developing and ing advanced engineering techniques, concepts, and approaches.

  • Supervising engineering staff to ensure quality and timely deliverables.

  • Providing technical expertise and guidance on instrumentation and controls engineering aspects.

  • Leading large teams across domestic and foreign offices for I&C engineering and design.

  • Collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams including Process, Mechanical, Electrical, Piping, Civil, and Marine engineers.

  • Designing, procuring, configuring, and troubleshooting various process control systems.

  • Selecting, sizing, specifying, and procuring field instruments.

Skills:

  • Experience with fertilizers (urea/ammonia), floating LNG (FLNG), or offshore oil & gas projects is a plus.

  • Leadership skills for leading large teams.

  • Expertise in designing, procuring, configuring, and troubleshooting process control systems.

  • strong communication and collaboration skills.

  • Proficiency in SmartPlant Instrumentation and MS Office tools.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering from a recognized accredited program.

  • 11+ years of experience in the gas, fuels, and chemicals field.

  • 7+ years of experience in LNG engineering and design or operations.

  • Professional Engineering (PE) license preferred or ability to acquire within 6 months from hire.
