job summary:
A Senior Instrumentation & Controls Engineer is needed for a leading global engineering, consulting and construction company in the Overland Park, KS area. The Senior Instrumentation & Controls Engineer will lead and support complex engineering projects in the Gas, Fuels & Chemicals sector, overseeing the development of I&C engineering deliverables.

responsibilities:
Developing and ing advanced engineering techniques, concepts, and approaches.
Supervising engineering staff to ensure quality and timely deliverables.
Providing technical expertise and guidance on instrumentation and controls engineering aspects.
Leading large teams across domestic and foreign offices for I&C engineering and design.
Collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams including Process, Mechanical, Electrical, Piping, Civil, and Marine engineers.
Designing, procuring, configuring, and troubleshooting various process control systems.
Selecting, sizing, specifying, and procuring field instruments.
Skills:
Experience with fertilizers (urea/ammonia), floating LNG (FLNG), or offshore oil & gas projects is a plus.
Leadership skills for leading large teams.
Expertise in designing, procuring, configuring, and troubleshooting process control systems.
strong communication and collaboration skills.
Proficiency in SmartPlant Instrumentation and MS Office tools.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in engineering from a recognized accredited program.
11+ years of experience in the gas, fuels, and chemicals field.
7+ years of experience in LNG engineering and design or operations.
Professional Engineering (PE) license preferred or ability to acquire within 6 months from hire.
