Job Title: Administrative Assistant

Location: Melville, Long Island , New York

Job Description: As an Administrative Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the administrative functions of our organization. You will be responsible for providing administrative support to various departments, assisting with clerical tasks, and ensuring efficient day-to-day operations. This role requires organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform general administrative duties, including answering phones, greeting visitors, and responding to emails.

  • Assist with the preparation and distribution of correspondence, reports, and documents.

  • Maintain and update company records, databases, and filing systems.

  • Schedule appointments, meetings, and travel arrangements for staff members.

  • Coordinate office supplies and equipment maintenance, ensuring adequate stock levels.

  • Assist with the organization and coordination of company events, meetings, and conferences.

  • Assist with the onboarding process for new employees, including paperwork and orientation.

  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail, packages, and deliveries.

  • Provide administrative support to the management team as needed, including calendar management and expense reporting.

  • Assist with special projects and initiatives as assigned by management.

  • Maintain confidentiality and discretion with sensitive information and company records.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.

  • Proven experience as an administrative assistant or similar role.

  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Organizational and time management abilities.

  • Attention to detail and accuracy in work.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines effectively.

  • Professional demeanor and customer service orientation.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.

salary: $24 - $27 per hour

shift: First

work hours: 9 AM - 5 PM

education: High School
