Responsibilities
Job Description:
Communicates any schedule delays/changes with drivers and customers.
Driver/Dispatch teams timesheet approvals and corrections on a weekly basis
Liaison and support for all drivers and transportation management team
Driver ELD Compliance of CA Fleet
Driver DOT compliance of CA Fleet
Driver TSA compliance of CA Fleet
Fleet equipment maintenance and compliance
Updating and upkeeping fleet insurance and state licensing requirements
Complete and follow-up on transportation special projects
Streamline and update routes as needed for route optimization.
Dispatch operational support as needed.
Answers any customer inquiries and transportation requests, communicates necessary information to drivers.
Resolves customer concerns with professional and timely etiquette.
Ensures that safety requirements are followed by drivers at all times.
Advanced knowledge of DOT rules and regulations
Route planning for optimal driver and vehicle utilization.
Maintains clear and accurate records and logs.
Evaluates and adjust routes based on daily needs, available workers, traffic hazards and weather conditions.
Manage and oversee between 50-150 salaried and hourly personnel.
Administrative
Process all daily/weekly bonds (when necessary).
Data storage.
Review reports.
Maintain route schedules.
Process orders.
Utilize Cargowise to create workorders/create BOLs when necessary
Complete other duties as assigned.
Skills
Managing
DOT (2 years of experience is preferred)
ELD (2 years of experience is preferred)
TSA (2 years of experience is preferred)
