job summary:

A client of ours is looking for a RWE Researcher for a 1-2 year contract opportunity. Qualified candidates will have the following qualifications:

Required Skill Summary:

PHD

Minimum 15 years of experience in RWD and RWE

Must have worked in large in large pharma companies in the US

Proven experience in RWE gathering through data analysis/RWD

Experienced with RWE for both clinical and post clinical/commercialization

Good understanding of all the phases of clinical trial

Solid hands on experience with SAS, SQL, data analytical tool, data concepts and architecture, data lake, data mesh, data warehousing.

Must have run and managed RWE and RWD programs in large pharma companies

Must have managed a team of 10 people

Knowledge of medical affair, scientific affairs and HEOR are preferable

Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Detailed Job description:

  • Lead the coordination and execution of RWE projects including RWE analytics to address medical gaps within Global Integrated Evidence Generation Plans (IEGPs)?

  • Designs and develops programs of complex claims or EHR data analysis and reporting activities.

  • Applies technical and analytical expertise to develop and implement solutions for use on claims or EHR projects leading to increased efficiency and quality.

  • Uses SAS, SQL, or other programming skills to create analytical datasets from health care claims, electronic health record, surveys, and other data sources by following protocols and statistical analysis plans.

  • Constructs outcome measures and other analytical variables through data cleaning and data manipulation.

  • Provide deep technical expertise to develop the design and delivery projects using real world data to address medical, scientific, and economic related research questions.

  • Generate RWE based insights on pipeline assets to drive global commercial strategies.

  • Develop relationships cross functionally with Data Science, Precision Medicine, Digital Health & Data, and Platform & Partnership teams to drive continuous strategies.

  • Provide strategic input collaboratively with other senior leadership across global Commercial Strategy Organization.

  • Ensure the optimal combination of RWD/E methodologies and analytics along with AI/ML and Digital solutions are being leveraged to deliver on high value use cases / problems.

  • Generates descriptive tables, figures, etc. based on desired format using SAS and analytical reports.

  • May develop standard macros using SAS for frequently used programs/based on the team's requirement; document and manage library of source codes and algorithms for internal use.

  • May use macros and advanced techniques to combine data from different data sources and databases.

  • Collaborates effectively with other statistical programmers and Real World Researchers and possibly cross-functional team members and counterparts to achieve project goals.

  • Managing a small team of programmers conducting statistical analysis using SAS, R, Python or database programming (SQL).

  • Ensures continued compliance with required company and departmental training, time reporting and other business/operational processes as required for position.?

  • May contribute to departmental innovation and process improvement projects.
