job summary:
A Designer is needed for a world class utility company in the New Albany, OH area. The Designer position involves creating and maintaining engineering drawings, supporting document creation and revision, collaborating with various departments, utilizing CAD software proficiently, and adhering to safety regulations and company policies.

salary: $17.25 - 44.28 per hour
work hours: 8am to 4pm

responsibilities:
Create, revise, and maintain engineering and record drawings and sketches.
Support the creation, revision, and maintenance of facilities and equipment documents.
Obtain necessary information for work from various sources, including verbal communication, sketches, field notes, and technical reference manuals.
Perform mathematical calculations required for assigned work.
Utilize computer-aided design (CAD) software proficiently.
Use Microsoft Office software effectively.
Coordinate work with other departments to ensure safety and efficiency.
Education and Experience:
Associate degree in applied science (AAS) drafting and computer aided design (CAD) or in civil, electrical or mechanical engineering technology, with one to two years of relevant equivalent experience.
Equivalent experience without AAS degree - High school graduate and 6 years of experience in electric utility and/or related industrial drafting and/or computer aided drafting work.
