Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
List accountabilities and where possible the measurable result of the activity
• Operates a forklift or other material handling devices safely and correctly in order to move materials to the proper location
. • Keeps accurate records of material locations.
• Uses inventory control tools (scanners, etc) to get information regarding material needs and necessary material movements.
• Labels and records weight as required by the packaging methods.
• Compares identifying information and counts, weighs or measures items on incoming or outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders or other records.
• Stages, loads/unloads and labels all shipments correctly.
• Handles shipments scheduled to be received/shipped as required. Document and communicate discrepancies.
• Checks all containers for condition. Corrects and reports damaged packaging.
• Assist in maintaining organization in the warehouse
• Participating in physical inventory count as assigned.
• Follow first in/first out procedure (FIFO).
• Other duties as assigned by supervision.
