A Test Technician is needed for a world leading manufacturer of construction and mining equipment, diesel and natural gas engines, industrial gas turbines and diesel-electric locomotives in the Mossville, IL area. This Test Technician role supports validation testing and data analysis for engine builds, collaborating with engineers to execute test plans and ensure quality under general supervision.

location: Mossville, Illinois

salary: $28.06 - 39.29 per hour

work hours: 8am to 4pm

education: Bachelors

responsibilities:

• Engage with engineering personnel to review test plans (types and cycles of tests, conditions, duration)

• Utilize basic understanding of controls and instrumentation to submit work orders for necessary hardware

• Ensure hardware is ready on time

• Examine parts for conformance using precision measuring instruments

• Recommend replacement of defective parts

• Monitor controls and instruments

• Record test data for engineers

• Provide basic data analysis to ensure quality under general supervision

• Collaborate with engineers regarding data analysis and conclusions

Education & Experience Required:

• 4-year Engineering or Engineering Technology degree

• Or 5-year relevant work experience

Technical Skills:

Required:

• Testing experience (engine preferred)

• Data analysis

• Engine or testing experience
