job summary:
A Fiber Optics Technician is needed for a technology company that designs and manufactures connectors and sensors for several industries, such as automotive, industrial equipment, data communication systems, and more, in the Middletown, PA area. This position will be responsible for optical connector assembly, termination of various configurations of fiber optic cable assemblies, and testing of the cable assemblies.

responsibilities:
Termination of various standard fiber optic termini as well new termini designs.
Support prototype product builds, test product builds, pre-release NPI builds.
Mechanical Aptitude to safely & efficiently operate equipment (E-Stop/Soft Stop, identifying issues, clearing faults and acknowledging machines states.
Assist in the estimation process step durations.
Assist in setting-up new manufacturing processes.
Suggest process changes to improve overall manufacturing efficiencies.
Communication within a team atmosphere to ensure clarity of purpose & Customer satisfaction.
Skills:
Must have good time management skills to work on numerous projects simultaneously.
Attention to Detail (following BOM's, Routers, and, understanding drawings/prints).
Proficient Dexterity & Motor Skills for intricate/delicate work.
Education and Experience;
Completed High School or equivalent.
Preference 2 years of experience in a fiber optic manufacturing environment but not mandatory.
