We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Research and Development (R&D) Quality Control Specialist. This role will be integral in ensuring the quality and reliability of our products through rigorous testing, analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Manufacturing, Bachelor's in Science Requirements

  • Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering.

  • Bachelor's in Science.

  • 1‐3 year of experience is a plus but dispensable.

  • strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

  • Balance of people and intellectual abilities oriented towards teamwork and communication skills.

  • Inquisitive and proactive attitude.

  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

  • Advanced technological capabilities to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

  • Ability to document and write reports as requested.

  • Advanced use of Excel

  • Safety focused and able to participate in a safety centered work culture.

  • Fluency in Spanish is desirable

Description of Activities

  • Conduct testing on raw material and finished cement samples.

  • Prepare samples and perform physical and chemical lab testing, including mortar cubes, vicat, XRF, XRD, and fineness.

  • Prepare lab grinds of cementitious materials.

  • Enter test results into quality management software.

  • Receive samples and prepare samples for shipping to customers and internal users.

  • Develop reports and document activities involved in R&D testing.

  • Organize and maintain R&D sample storage areas as well as any related documentation.

  • Summarize/organize results for reports.

salary: $20 - $25 per hour

shift: First

work hours: 7 AM - 5 PM

education: Bachelors

Responsibilities

  • Conduct testing on raw material and finished cement samples.

  • Prepare lab grinds of cementitious materials.

  • Enter test results into quality management software.

  • Summarize/organize results for reports.

The essential functions of this role include:

  • working in a smoke free environment

  • wearing steel toe shoes

  • working in a non-temperature controlled environment

  • manual lifting up to 50lbs

  • standing for 8 hours at one time

  • working up to 4 hrs of overtime per week
