Responsibilities
Sourcing and Procurement: Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers for avionics equipment and components. Develop and implement procurement strategies to meet organizational needs.
Negotiation: Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to secure favorable agreements while maintaining quality standards and delivery schedules.
Supplier Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, monitoring their performance, resolving issues, and fostering continuous improvement.
Inventory Management: Coordinate with inventory and warehouse teams to ensure optimal levels of avionics inventory, minimizing excess stock and stockouts.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies in all procurement activities.
Cost Optimization: Analyze costs, identify opportunities for cost savings, and implement measures to optimize procurement expenditure without compromising quality or reliability.
Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, production, and quality assurance to align procurement activities with organizational objectives and project timelines
.Market Research: Stay informed about market trends, technology advancements, and supplier capabilities within the avionics industry to inform sourcing decisions and maintain a competitive advantage.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of procurement transactions, contracts, and supplier communications.
The essential functions of this role include:
- working up to 5 hrs of overtime per week
