A non-profit leader in the legal aid community is seeking a Staff Attorney for their Tenants' Rights Unit! (HYBRID) The ideal candidate will be licensed in Florida, and have 1-3 years of experience handling litigation (newly admitted attorneys will also be considered). This role focuses on protecting the rights of low-income tenants living in Miami-Dade County. This firm prides itself in a work/life balance environment. There will be a flexible hybrid schedule! Responsibilities:
- Interviewing clients, drafting pleadings, conducting depositions, negotiating with opposing parties, assisting with rental assistance applications, and representing tenants in court.
Qualifiications:
FL Bar License
1-3 years experience (newly admittted attorneys will be considered)
Background in Public Defender's Office, State Attorney's Office, Government Agency, or Non-Profit is preferred but not required.
