Are you an organized and detail-oriented professional with a passion for the legal field? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks and deadlines?

We are seeking a Certified Paralegal to provide critical support to a group of attorneys. In this role, you will be responsible for managing electronic filing of court documents, compiling trial exhibits, and maintaining case files. You will also prepare legal documents such as summonses and subpoenas, and assist in the discovery process. If this sounds like you, now!

work hours: 8:30 AM - 5 PM

Responsibilities

  • Manage electronic filing of pleadings and other court documents.

  • Perform various legal and administrative tasks under attorney supervision.

  • Compile deposition summaries, trial notebooks, trial exhibits, and demonstrative exhibits.

  • Initiate new files and client matters, including conflict of interest checks.

  • Provide critical litigation assistance to attorneys.

  • Collect and organize pertinent case information from diverse sources.

  • Handle the filing and organization of case documents.

  • Prepare and issue legal documents such as summonses, subpoenas, and notices.

  • Maintain and generate docket reports for attorneys.

  • Create monthly status reports for ongoing matters.

  • Serve as a liaison between clients and internal/external parties.

  • Prepare monthly billing statements.

  • Support attorneys in the issuance, review, and processing of discovery documents.

  • Schedule and track litigation deadlines.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of a paralegal program with certification from the National Association of Legal Assistants.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of legal terminology and litigation procedures.

  • Exceptional organizational, planning, and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize effectively.

  • Multitasking abilities, capable of managing deadlines for multiple clients in various stages of litigation.

  • Experience with cloud-based document management systems, docketing systems, and eDiscovery platforms is preferred.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
