job summary:
A Field Planner is needed for a leading global engineering, consulting and construction company in the Los Angeles, CA area. This position will manage on-site planning and scheduling for a major energy project focusing on substation and converter station work, while ensuring compliance with ISO standards, providing project control leadership.

responsibilities:
Perform comprehensive planning and scheduling tasks for the project.
Prepare detailed project schedules and ensure constructability is included in the planning process.
Act as a lead for the project control function.
Influence both internal and external clients regarding project execution matters.
Provide guidance to less experienced project personnel.
Ensure compliance with all pre-employment onboarding requirements.
Recognize and advise on issues impacting project timelines and goals.
Skills:
Proficiency in schedule management and earned value analysis.
Capability to perform complex planning and scheduling tasks.
strong understanding of project cost control processes.
Ability to lead the project control function effectively.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
Alternatively, a four-year Bachelor's degree with six or more years of relevant experience in cost control or planning and scheduling.
Minimum eight years of relevant experience in cost control or planning and scheduling in either a Home Office or Field Office setting if no Bachelor's degree is held.
