Summary:

The Manufacturing Technician is responsible for maintaining, cleaning, preventing maintenance repairs, and overall being within a GMP environment. This is a perfect entry level position for those with minimal experience or want to gain further career advancements within the Biotech industry! Title: Manufacturing Technician I/II Location: Los Angeles, CA - Onsite Duration: 3 months to start - possible extensions Multiple Shift Opening: Night Mon-Fri 10PM-6:30AM or Weekend Sat-Sun 10AM-10:30PM + 3rd Day Qualifications:

  • Attention to details when weighing chemicals to make cleaning solutions

  • 1-3 years experience working in GMP setting; biotechnology preferred

  • Able to assist with prioritization of assignments in order to maximize support for the Purification production area.

  • Must have good written and verbal communication skills and understanding of cGMP regulations.

  • Familiarity with pharmaceutical production equipment including but not limited to CIP.

  • Must be able to read and follow detailed written instructions.

  • Good interpersonal skills and be able to work effectively and efficiently in a team environment.

  • This position requires shift, weekend, and holiday work. Overtime may be required at times.

  • The incumbent must work in a Cold Room and cleanroom environment wearing special garments. Additionally, personal protective equipment must be worn due to safety requirements.

  • Knowledge of basic chemical and biological safety procedures.

  • Requires AA degree or high school diploma with 0-2 years related manufacturing experience. Ability to read, write, speak English and communicate effectively. Should possess basic math skills. Previous work-related experience is preferred. Some college experience is preferred.

Education:

  • Must GED or High School Diploma and preferred 1-3 years relevant experience

  • Recent College graduates with a Science Background are highly recommended to

  • Knowledge of GMP/SOPs in Manufacturing setting big plus

Responsibilities

  • Perform process equipment cleaning and organization within the Teardown department.

  • Maintain Teardown area housekeeping (per GMP compliance) such as cleaning walls, floors, doors, drains, windows, and other general surface areas.

  • Work directly in Cold Room environment, breaking down frozen plasma

  • Perform removal of hazardous waste.

  • Supports all local manufacturing operations.

  • Supply components, small parts, tubing, etc.

  • Complete relevant paperwork following GDP/GMP guidelines.

  • Manually clean all portable equipment, small parts, plastic tubing, and equipment.

  • Receive and distribute supplies into the production area as necessary.

  • Manual 5 step cleaning & automated cleaning

  • Details on the cleanings: chemicals used bleach, 500 ppm, liquinox

  • Type of cleaning: cleaning small parts in a sink subjecting to different waters; mostly stainless steel parts
