Responsibilities
As a Forklift Operator , you will use a forklift to transport merchandise to, from, and within the warehouse to put away, drop down, and rotate full pallets of stock through the warehouse inventory reserve racks using a stand-up forklift
Forklift Operators help support this mission by replenishing product levels to ensure items can be easily accessed in the warehouse
Department: shift starts at 6:00 AM until the work is done (Approximately 6p)
Operating a forklift to transport merchandise to designated locations in the warehouse
Accurately tracking inventory utilizing a handheld computer and other necessary technology
Stacking and rotating merchandise, either by hand or using material handling equipment
Replenishing pick slots and production lines to ensure timely fulfillment of customer orders
Staging finished product in designated storage areas
Loading and unloading merchandise from trailers
Following all safety protocols and procedures set for a forklift operator in the warehouse
Continually Standing, bending, pulling, lifting, pivoting up to 90% of shift
Frequently lifting of product weighing between 1 - 50 lbs
The essential functions of this role include:
working in a smoke free environment
wearing steel toe shoes
working in a non-temperature controlled environment
manual lifting up to 49lbs
standing for 7 hours at one time
working up to 10 hrs of overtime per week
