We are seeking an experienced Purchasing Manager to lead our procurement operations. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in strategic sourcing, vendor management, and inventory control. This role is critical to ensuring our products meet high standards of quality, sustainability, and cost-efficiency. Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in purchasing or supply chain management, preferably within the outdoor products industry.

  • strong negotiation and contract management skills.

  • Proven ability to develop and implement strategic procurement plans.

  • Excellent analytical and decision-making abilities.

  • Leadership experience with a track record of managing and developing high-performing teams.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic inventory purchasing plans to align with production and sales demands.

  • Source, negotiate, and secure contracts with qualified vendors, suppliers, and freight carriers.

  • Manage inventory levels to minimize stockouts and excess inventory, ensuring optimal stock availability.

  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends and accurately forecast future needs.

  • Assess logistics data to identify areas for improvement and enhance operational efficiency.

  • Oversee the receiving process, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery of goods.

  • Assess and mitigate risks associated with the supply chain.

  • Maintain strong relationships with vendors, negotiating favorable pricing and terms to benefit the company.

  • Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities throughout the procurement process.

  • Plan, implement, and manage the efficient movement, storage, and distribution of goods.

  • Manage and develop a team of purchasing professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

  • Work closely with other departments such as production, sales, finance, and logistics to align procurement activities with organizational needs.

  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices in inventory management, ensuring the company remains competitive.
