The Credit and Collections Specialist is primarily responsible for timely collection of payments on open receivables, to continuously update the company with collection efforts and payment information, and the timely filing of liens and bond claims. MUST HAVE CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY EXPEREINCE MUST BE 100% IN OFFICE, LOCATED IN SOUTHPOINT

salary: $50,000 - $55,000 per year

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

 Collect on open balances of assigned customers, before lien due date, following the

documented collection approach

 Research overdue accounts, investigate discrepancies, and develop debt-collection strategies

with the team members

 Prepare and negotiate payment arrangements

 Communicate efficiently and effectively with customers via phone, email, and letters

 Document all calls and collection efforts, provide information on all communication, interaction,

and payment status updates

 Monitor the accounts receivable aging

 Collaborate and communicate with team members from other departments for the resolution of

customer issues impeding payment

 Maintain direct communication with the management team concerning lien and bond claim

decisions

 Assist in processing liens and satisfaction of liens

 Assist in processing small claim losses against delinquent accounts

 Process payments and settlements

 Cross-train in various roles to support the accounting team

 Perform other duties or special projects as assigned by the supervisor

 Adhere to all the rules and regulations of the company
