job summary:
A Buyer in the Jackson, MS area is needed for a multinational power management company. This role involves managing the receipt of incoming product, reconciling vendor invoicing, and onboarding new suppliers while effectively utilizing MRP systems and coordinating with internal teams and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials.

responsibilities:
Review MRP and place purchase orders.
Review shortages and expedite materials as needed, communicating issues to appropriate parties.
Work with vendors on pricing, scheduling of materials, and planning of future orders.
Collaborate with Engineering and quality for changes and revisions of material.
Adapt methods, materials, or systems as technology changes.
React to changes in inventory levels based on trends and changes in product.
Resolve accounts payable issues.
Follow company process to onboard suppliers.
Skills:
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications.
Knowledge of MRP/material planning systems.
Education and Experience:
BA degree required.
Minimum of 1 year of experience.
