job summary:
A Post Development Support Engineer in the Irvine, CA area is needed for a multinational power management company. The Post Development Support Engineer will be responsible for resolving production product design problems and field return design issues related to sustaining (current production) fuel component designs.

responsibilities:
Coordinate timely and cost-effective responses to technical inquiries from customers and end users regarding products in service.
Investigate reported problems for fielded products to establish root causes.
Support the Operations organization in daily Tier meetings.
Assist Engineering Management in ensuring timely disposition of non-conforming hardware without compromising final product quality, which could lead to operational deficiencies in the field.
Apply principles of Design for Six Sigma and Red X to address 8-D (Eight Disciplines) problem-solving methodology.
Work through RCCA (Root Cause Corrective Action) processes to identify and resolve issues.
Define required work tasks for support personnel.

Capable to work in a global, collaborative, team-oriented environment.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related fields from an ABET accredited university.
