Responsibilities

Maintenance technicians perform a variety of activities to maintain plant equipment and facilities in optimum operating condition. These activities include scheduled preventive maintenance and emergency / break down repairs. Maintenance technicians report to the maintenance supervisor.

• preventive maintenance activities such as lubricating, measuring wear, measuring positions, repositioning components; and observing operations, vibrations, and noise levels

• emergency / break down maintenance as necessary to support production

• blueprint reading, equipment manuals, technical drawings and schematics

• using measurement and test equipment

• electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, steam system, and other repairs and installations

• operating the boiler, and maintaining adequate operating steam pressure

• keep clean and organized work areas, and cleaning up work areas as part of completing assigned tasks

• completeing maintaining accurate maintenance records and other paperwork

• troubleshooting/problem resolution

• teamwork

• communication with leadership - issues or unusual situations

Requirements:

• ability to pass the maintenance test

• High School Diploma or GED

• 2-3 years experience of industrial maintenance experience
