A Product Development Project Manager is needed for a multinational manufacturing company that produces and distributes trucks, buses and construction equipment, as well as marine and industrial drive systems in the Greensboro, NC area. This role involves leading product development projects, managing complex engineering-based initiatives from design to implementation, ensuring adherence to schedules, budgets, and quality standards.

responsibilities:

  • Design, communicate, and implement operational plans for engineering-based projects.

  • Prepare designs, project controls, specifications, schedules, cost estimates, and oversee production, transportation, installation, testing, and commissioning of new infrastructure, facilities, equipment, etc.

  • Monitor progress and performance against the project plan and take action to resolve operational problems and minimize delays.

  • Identify, develop, and gather necessary resources to complete the project.

  • Prepare engineering standards, designs, work specifications, project schedules, budgets, forecasts, and select materials, equipment, project staff, and external contractors.

  • Manage large projects or end-to-end processes with limited oversight from manager.

  • Coach, review, and delegate work to lower-level professionals.

Skills:

  • Specialist in product development project management, obtained through education and work experience.

  • Manage projects with high complexity and medium to high impact on the business.

  • Most probably has a certification in project management.

Experience: Typically requires 8 years or more relevant experience.
