job summary:
A Test Engineer in the Fort Worth, TX area is needed for a multinational power management company. This position will lead and oversee the development and execution of comprehensive test strategies, mentor junior engineers, and drive continuous improvement in testing processes and methodologies to ensure product quality and reliability.

responsibilities:
Lead the development and implementation of test strategies, test plans, and test cases for functional, performance, and regression testing of software applications, embedded systems, or hardware components.
Design and develop automated test scripts, frameworks, and tools using scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java, C++) and test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, Robot Framework).
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software developers, systems engineers, and product managers, to define test objectives, requirements, and acceptance criteria.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior test engineers in test planning, test case design, test automation, and execution.
Conduct code reviews, design reviews, and test strategy reviews to provide feedback on testability, quality, and reliability considerations.
Analyze test results, metrics, and defect data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement.
Manage and maintain test environments, test tools, and test data repositories.
Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in software testing, test automation, and quality assurance.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
6-9 years of experience in software testing, quality assurance, or related roles.
Expertise in software testing methodologies, techniques, and tools.
Proven experience with test automation frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, Robot Framework) and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java, C++).

Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality and continuous improvement.
Experience working in an Agile development environment.
Preferred Skills:
Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
Certification in software testing (e.g., ISTQB Certified Tester, CSTE).
Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD).
Knowledge of DevOps principles and practices.
Familiarity with software development methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) and version control systems (e.g., Git, SVN).
Previous experience testing embedded systems, IoT devices, or hardware components.
Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements for software and systems testing (e.g., FDA, ISO, IEC).
