job summary:

Robotic technician needed for a client in the Fort Wayne area. Supports robotic manufacturing equipment including all preventative maintenance programs by performing the following duties within an automotive environment. Salary will bebased on experience.

5 years experience with industrial robotics

Experience with ABB, Motoman, Fanuc and Kuka robotics

PLC experience

Welding experience

responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot robotic programs and modify/adjust as needed

  • Create robotic programs from scratch as needed

  • Troubleshoot and repair various types of electrical controls, drives, communications, wiring, robot paths etc.

  • Use laptop and various software programs and network interfaces to communicate with equipment

  • Ability to comprehend PLC logic and its relationship to the robot's programming

  • Ability to comprehend field devices such as vision systems, fieldbus systems, safety components, and their relationships to the PLC and robots

  • Assist technical services in machine repair, change over, set up and operation as required

  • Effectively train, coach and mentor other Technicians to improve their skills

  • Perform all preventative maintenance requirements as scheduled

  • Have mechanical aptitude that compliments electrical capabilities

  • Ability to schedule time, materials and equipment required to perform tasks, and to properly use and complete required documentation

  • Support of Production as and when required

  • Assist in keeping a spare parts inventory

  • Have a professional customer service attitude and ability to communicate with all levels of associates

  • Additional responsibilities may be added when necessary
