Responsibilities
Perform thorough inspections of aerospace and military defense components to ensure compliance with industry standards and specifications.
Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify product dimensions.
Interpret and work from engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
Document inspection results and maintain accurate records of quality checks.
Identify and report non-conformities, working closely with the production team to address and resolve quality issues.
Conduct first article inspections (FAI) and in-process inspections.
Assist in developing and implementing quality control procedures and best practices.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and efficiency.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years experience in quality inspection within the aerospace or military defense industry.
Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments and tools.
Strong understanding of quality control standards and procedures.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents.
Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a team.
Knowledge of ISO 9001 and AS9100 quality standards is a plus.
