job summary:
A leading EPC organization needs an Instrumentation Controls and Electrical Commissioning Engineer. This role involves overseeing the commissioning of instrumentation and electrical systems in gas processing facilities. The successful candidate will ensure all systems and components are installed, tested, operated, and maintained according to project requirements and industry standards.
The ideal candidate will have a solid background in gas processing and significant experience in the commissioning and startup of instrumentation and electrical systems. Candidates with Siemens or Allen Bradley PLC experience are desired, and prior experience with Biogas is coveted. Candidates must possess the ability to read P&IDs and have some mechanical equipment familiarity. A strong understanding of industry standards and safety protocols is essential. The candidate may be the only or one of two commissioning professionals on-site at any given time.
This is a contract role in Escondido, CA, with prospective travel to sister facilities. This is a contract opportunity, with the potential to go direct-hire with the client. Per Diem is available for qualified candidates.

Oversee and manage the instrumentation, controls, and electrical system commissioning process
Develop and implement commissioning plans, procedures, and schedules
Conduct and document testing and validation of systems to ensure proper functionality
Coordinate with engineering, operations, and maintenance teams to resolve any issues during commissioning
Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and standards
Provide technical support and training to operational staff as needed
