Responsibilities
Will be responsible for outstanding A/R in the TD Authorization work queues. The expected duties are to resolve denials received from payors to assist the departments with meeting their goal of 95% or greater collection rate. Will be expected to identify trends and resolutions and report them to management which has an impact on the days in the A/R and collection rates for various revenue location. The production expectation for the TD Authorizations work queues is an average of 35 invoices per day.
Knowledgeable with payors including Managed Care, Commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid
·Knowledge of CPT codes, Modifiers
·Knowledge of Payor filing and appeal deadlines.
·Ability to research denials
·Ability to compose and file appeals/reconsiderations
·Managed care, Medicaid and Commercial follow-up
·Familiar with a production (metric driven) environment
·Understanding of Revenue Cycle
