job summary:
A Senior Packaging Engineer is needed for the world's largest food and beverage company in the Crete, NE area. As a Senior Packaging Engineer, you will coordinate and design packaging processes for pet food products, support capital projects, ensure continuous improvement, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

responsibilities:
Provide packaging engineering process design and review for capital projects, including detailed phases of engineering work, related documentation, and field support.
Coordinate work by outside consultants and suppliers, ing broad knowledge of standards, principles, and practices in packaging specialties.
Support divisional continuous improvement efforts and provide technical assistance to operating facilities, including investigation and analysis of problem areas and opportunities for packaging and process enhancements.
Apply expert understanding of line balancing, equipment specification, vendor coordination, factory acceptance testing (FAT), and site acceptance testing (SAT).
Assist in the development and modification of department technical guidelines, standards, and specifications.
Communicate and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field.
5+ years of packaging equipment engineering experience in a manufacturing, industrial, military, or related environment.
