job summary:
A leader in renewable energy is seeking a Senior Energy Engineer to join its team in Chicago, IL. This is a HYBRID role, working remotely 2 days per week.
As Senior Energy Engineering, you will be acting as a consultant for power project developers including utilities like wind, solar, gas, and battery storage. You will evaluate the engineering needs and provide studies and reports for investors, lenders, and planning groups. As Senior Energy Engineer, you should understand the design needs of utility-scale projects and financial projections. This role requires client-facing, technical, business development, so you must have excellent organization and communication skills.
Candidates should have a bachelor's degree in engineering (electrical, mechanical, civil/structural, etc) although a master's or MBA is preferred. You should also have at least 5 years in the power industry overseeing design projects, project development, and owner 's-side tasks.
