job summary:
A VP of Logistical Engineering is needed for a transportation and logistics organization. The VP will lead and expand the company's warehousing and distribution operations. This role is pivotal in driving process modernization and operational efficiency while overseeing day-to-day logistics activities.
The ideal candidate must possess extensive leadership experience in logistics, manufacturing, or similar fields, managing teams of 200+. They should demonstrate a track record in developing and using operational metrics and management dashboards to enhance productivity, along with proven P/L responsibility and expertise in pricing and costing models. Proficiency in executing short-term operational plans and long-term growth strategies is essential, ideally supported by certification in Lean, Kaizen, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies. Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or ERP systems, strong data analysis skills using Microsoft Excel and Power BI, and excellent written and verbal communication skills are also required. A BA/BS in supply chain, engineering, business, or a related field is mandatory, while an MBA is preferred.
