Credit/Collections Specialist

job summary:

Position Description Summary:

Responsible for the collection of an assigned portfolio. This includes collections of receivables, monitoring cash violations, billing inquiries and customer disputes.

Principal Accountabilities (The following is intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed. It is not an exhaustive list of all expectations.):

  • Communicate with customers in order to pursue the timely collection of outstanding receivables

  • Interface effectively with field and sales personnel to resolve billing issues

  • Responsible for meeting or exceeding department cash goal and company DSO standards

  • Analyze and monitor an assigned portfolio to identify potential credit risks or trends

  • Prepare monthly status reports of problem accounts for management

Assignment Complexity - Work on assignments that are moderately complex in nature where judgment is required in resolving problems and making routine recommendations.

Essential Functions:

Must be able to pass any federal/state/local government, airport, or company-required background checks, clearances, and/or drug and alcohol tests.

Knowledge and Skills (The following minimum requirements are normal guidelines and should not constrain the advancement of otherwise qualified personnel):

This is an intermediate level position. Good interpersonal skills required. High school diploma or equivalent required. Generally prefer 2-4 years of experience.
