Job Title: Forklift Operator
Location: Canal Winchester, Ohio
Job Type: Full-time
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Forklift Operator to join our warehouse team. The primary responsibility of this role is to safely operate a forklift to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise within the warehouse. The operator will ensure proper loading and unloading of materials while adhering to all operational procedures and safety regulations.
Responsibilities:
Operate forklift to load and unload materials and deliveries.
Move goods to and from warehouse racks, loading docks, and vehicles as required.
Perform daily inspections of forklift equipment and report any maintenance issues to supervisor.
Ensure compliance with inventory control procedures.
Assist in maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment.
Follow safety standards and protocols at all times.
Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers.
Perform other warehouse duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a forklift operator in a warehouse environment.
Valid certification to operate a forklift.
strong understanding of warehouse operations and procedures.
Ability to lift heavy objects.
Excellent hand-eye coordination.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Good physical condition and stamina.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with RF scanners and warehouse management systems (WMS).
Additional certifications such as OSHA safety training.
Working Conditions:
Work hours: 1st shift
Physical requirements: Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
Environment: Fast-paced warehouse setting with exposure to various weather conditions.

Responsibilities
Operating Forklifts: Safely operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks to move materials within the warehouse or worksite.
Loading and Unloading: Load and unload materials from trucks, pallets, and shelves using forklifts and other equipment, ensuring proper handling and stacking to prevent damage.
Inventory Management: Assist in inventory control by accurately recording materials handled and reporting any discrepancies or shortages.
Picking and Packing: Support warehouse operations by picking and packing orders, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in fulfilling customer or production demands.
Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies to prevent accidents, injuries, and equipment damage. Conduct pre-operational checks on forklifts and report any maintenance needs promptly.
Warehouse Maintenance: Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the warehouse, including clearing aisles, disposing of debris, and ensuring materials are stored in designated areas.
Communication: Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to coordinate tasks, prioritize work, and ensure smooth operations.
Quality Control: Conduct visual inspections of materials and products handled to ensure they meet quality standards before transport or storage.
