Wastewater Tech will serve as a member of the EHS team reporting to the EHS Mgr. Primary responsibilities include promoting and implementing all EHS objectives with primary emphasis on EHS cmpliance. The position will also work to support the desired zero-incident safety culture. Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed.
salary: $35 - $36 per hour
shift: First
work hours: 7 AM - 3:30 PM

Responsibilities
Essential functions: Act as a Md. Dept. of the Env. grade 6 certified industrial wastewater treatment operator, maintaining effluent to meet regulatory permit req. including, maintaining supply and part inventory and performing all aspects of sampling, monitoring and testing
Handle, accumulate and coordinate hazardous waste storage and disposal in accordinace with federal, state and local regulations.
Maintain and monitor environmental practices and permitting to ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA req.
The essential functions of this role include:
working in a smoke free environment
wearing steel toe shoes
working in a non-temperature controlled environment
manual lifting up to 35lbs
standing for 10 hours at one time
Skills
EHS Admin (3 years of experience is required)
Microsoft Excel (3 years of experience is required)
Basic Algebra (3 years of experience is required)
Forklift Operator (2 years of experience is required)
Wastewater Operator (3 years of experience is required)
