Our client is seeking a Mechanical Engineer Level 3, who will be developing new products or enhancing existing ones. The individual will be resolving design, processing, and production issues.

Required:

-5 years in production manufacturing in a mechanical engineering role

-Bachelors in Engineering

  • SolidWorks

-Toling Design/Pipe manufacturing knowledge

responsibilities:

  • Design and create fixtures and tooling for the production department, including providing training and documentation.

  • Utilize expert-level knowledge in one or more technical fields to resolve most production issues independently.

  • Manage new product research and development projects, focusing on products similar to existing market offerings, and collaborate with experts for problem-solving.

  • Develop production capabilities for new products from R&D to market, lead mid-sized projects, drive processes forward on a timeline, and resolve challenges with support.

  • Create testing protocols, either conduct the testing or oversee its completion, and establish analysis criteria to identify root causes.

  • Develop quality expectations and ensure QA protocols are implemented and adhered to across multiple production departments, often with senior staff review.

  • Establish production procedures, work instructions, QA matrices, and bills of materials for complex products involving multiple production activities.

  • Lead cost reduction efforts for specific products through process refinement, establishing best practices, and implementing improved production methods.

  • Analyze costs and return on investment for simple projects or changes to existing systems, typically with oversight and review of conclusions.
